Import Bibs

There are four things to consider before Importing Bibs:

1. Which of the bibs should be placed on the recent arrivals list?
   • Choose the default unless you do not want these items on the recent arrivals list.
2. What action should be taken if a bib matches an existing one?
   • Choose the default unless you are sure that all of the bibs will require another action.
3. Do you want the LC Subject Headings and Qualifiers?
   • If you normally use LC Subject Headings and are importing from the Library of Congress, check the box.
4. Choose the Z39.50 Server. Unless you have added another Z39.50 server, there are just two choices.
   • Library of Congress (LC)
   • National Library of Medicine (NLM)
   You can add more servers via Main Menu >Properties >Z39.50 Servers.
   
   Now, select push button [Import Bibs].
