Before creating a serial analytic, first check in the issue in Serials Management. Then use the Cataloging function [Original Cataloging] to create the analytic, i.e. the secondary bibliographic record. Occasionally you will find a MARC bib that can be imported from another cataloging source, e.g., a specific volume for a monographic series.
The Serial Shelving Arrangement must be "Not a print serial". You probably want a call number for the analytic, e.g., an abbreviated title followed by the volume and issue. In Batch Control do not select function [Serial Initiation].
