2.63 Overview to the OPAC HTML Headers and Footers

The OPAC may be expressed as HTML. A site may create its own HTML headers and footer for this HTML OPAC.

Two sets of headers and footers are used. One set is for major pages, and the other for minor pages. A major page starts a process, such as one of the Main Search pages. A minor page comes from a major page, such a Search Results page.

A header will appear at the top of the HTML page, and the footer at the bottom. Typical uses are placing logos at the top, and placing navigation aids in the footer (such as a link to a home page).
